Proficiency in Survival Craft
 
Young Memorial's 30 hour Coast Guard approved survival craft proficiency course is an intense which covers all aspects of lifesaving crafts.

What a student can expect?
Students participating in this course will be trained and evaluated in many lifesaving practical exercises, water survival, launching life rafts, Launching and operating Life Boats, rowing commands, First Aid, and navigation.

 

What's special about this course?
Young Memorial's Survival Craft Proficiency course is recognized by the Coast Guard for meeting the following requirements:

STCW Approved
MODU Approved
OIM (Offshore Instillation Manager)
Survival Suit and Cold Water training

EQUIPMENT TO BRING TO CLASS: Long Pants, long-sleeved shirt with a collar, shoes to swim in, towel, and something to place your wet clothes in after class. (trash bag) sun screen and hat.
